- New Jersey Institute of Technology (NJIT) is a public research polytechnic university that focuses its students on careers relating to modern technology. It is also a land and sea grant institution, located on a 45 acre campus in downtown Newark, New Jersey’s largest city, and is a 20 minute ride away from New York City.
