On March 12, 2025, representatives from Saigon Technology University (STU), Ho Chi Minh City, and Thompson Rivers University (TRU), Canada, along with representatives from AMVC Group, officially signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU). This event marks a significant milestone in STU’s strategic direction towards the internationalization of education.
The signing ceremony took place at STU’s Traditional Hall with the presence of university leaders from both institutions. Representing STU were Assoc. Prof. Dr. Cao Hao Thi – President, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Hoang Kim Anh – Vice President, and Dr. Nguyen Tung Lam – Director of the International Training Center.
Representing TRU was Dr. Suraj Shah – Director of Marketing and International Recruitment. Additionally, AMVC Group was represented by Director Natalie Nguyen and Business Development Director Mark Christian Obillo Valdez.
Strengthening Academic Cooperation and Exchange Between STU and TRU
This event not only marks an important milestone in the collaboration between the two universities but also lays the foundation for student and faculty exchange programs, research collaboration, and curriculum development in accordance with international standards. Furthermore, it provides STU students with opportunities to access world-class education, enhance their academic experience at a leading Canadian university, and expand their career prospects in a global environment.
Since its establishment in 2007, the International Training Center (ITPC) has connected numerous STU students with international education opportunities in countries such as the United States, Japan, China, and many others. Moreover, with a diverse network of domestic and international corporate partnerships, STU has enabled students to expand their opportunities to enter the global job market and thrive in the modern workforce.
